Jacob began his winemaking career at Chaberton Estate Winery following the completion of his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Biology at UBC.

His growing passion for wine then led him to complete a Master of Science degree in Viticulture and Oenology specializing in the chemistry of sparkling wine. From his research, Jacob published two academic papers contributing to the understanding of sparkling wine ageing. For his work he was awarded both the W.D Hatch Memorial Scholarship, and Cool Climate Oenology and Viticulture Institute (CCOVI) Alumni Graduate Scholarships for excellence in academic and oenological pursuits.

Concurrently, Jacob worked at Two Sisters Vineyards in Niagara, Ontario, working under the guidance of established Winemaker Adam Pearce, further developing his skill in winemaking.

Upon completing his MSc in 2023, Jacob was approached by Patrick Blandin to contribute to the growing wine production at Cannon Estate Winery, where under Patrick's tutelage he was given the opportunity to oversee the entire winemaking production - from the start of the growing season to bottling the wine.

Jacob is thrilled to continue contributing to the production of outstanding wine in the growing Fraser Valley wine region.
